When you use PersonalTranslator, we collect and store the following data:

• Discord user ID — to identify your account
• Discord username and display name — for account management and support
• Token balance — to track your remaining translation credits
• Usage statistics — total characters translated, language preferences, channel language history
• Purchase history — pack name, tokens added, and timestamp of each purchase

2. Information we do not collect

• The content of messages you translate
• Messages from other users
• Payment details (all payments are handled by Discord)
• IP addresses or device information

3. How we use your data

We use the data we collect solely to operate the bot:

• To check your token balance before processing a translation
• To deduct tokens after a translation is made
• To display your usage stats in the /status command
• To credit your account when you make a purchase
• To remember your language preferences between sessions

4. Translation API

Message content is sent to a third-party translation API (Google Cloud Translation or a RapidAPI provider) to perform the translation. This is a necessary part of the service. Message content is not retained by PersonalTranslator after the API response is received. These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as you use the service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us via the Contact page. We will action deletion requests within 7 days.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties except the translation APIs necessary to provide the service.

7. Security

Your data is stored in a secured database. We take reasonable technical measures to protect it against unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data

9. Children
