Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using PersonalTranslator. By installing or using the bot or visiting personaltranslator.app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Who We Are
PersonalTranslator is operated by Positive Square LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use PersonalTranslator. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Discord's own minimum age requirements also apply.
3. What the Service Does
PersonalTranslator is a Discord bot that translates messages using third-party translation services. Translations are provided as-is. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any translation for any particular purpose. You should not rely on translations for legal, medical, safety-critical, or other high-stakes purposes.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PersonalTranslator only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.
You must not use the service to:
- Translate, distribute, or promote content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, or abusive
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the token system, including creating multiple accounts to obtain free tokens repeatedly
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Use the service in any automated or bulk manner not intended by its design
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any user who violates these terms, without notice and without refund of any remaining token balance.
5. Tokens and Purchases
Free tokens Every new user receives a one-time allocation of free tokens upon first use. These are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Token packs Additional tokens can be purchased through Discord's built-in payment system. All payments are processed by Discord. By making a purchase, you also agree to Discord's Terms of Service and payment policies.
Refunds Refunds for token pack purchases are handled solely by Discord in accordance with their refund policy. Positive Square LTD does not process refunds directly. Unused tokens have no cash value.
Price changes We reserve the right to change the price or size of token packs at any time. Any such changes will apply to future purchases only and will not affect tokens already purchased.
Token expiry Tokens do not expire under normal circumstances. However, see Section 7 regarding service termination.
6. Service Availability
We aim to keep PersonalTranslator available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control including failures of third-party services such as Discord or translation providers.
We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service downtime or interruptions.
7. Service Termination
We reserve the right to discontinue PersonalTranslator at any time. In the event that we decide to permanently shut down the service, we will publish an announcement on personaltranslator.app giving users a minimum of 30 days' notice to use their remaining token balance. After the termination date, all user data will be deleted and unused tokens will expire without compensation.
We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend individual accounts at any time for violation of these terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Positive Square LTD shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the service
- Any translation provided by the service
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the service
- Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
PersonalTranslator, its name, logo, and all associated content are the property of Positive Square LTD. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our express written permission.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last changed. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
