Getting Started with PersonalTranslator

PersonalTranslator is a Discord bot that lets you translate any message privately with a simple right-click — no copy-pasting, no leaving Discord.

Installing the Bot

PersonalTranslator is a user-installed app, meaning you install it to your account once and it works everywhere — in any server, DM, or group chat — without needing admin permissions.

Click the Add to Discord button on personaltranslator.app
Authorise the bot under your own account (not a server)
That's it — you're ready to translate

Your First Translation

The fastest way to use the bot is via the right-click context menu:

Right-click (or long-press on mobile) any message in Discord
Go to Apps → Translate this message
The translation appears privately — only you can see it

If you haven't set a language yet, the bot will use your Discord client's display language as a fallback. For the best experience, set your native language with /my-language.

Starter Tokens

Every new user receives 5,000 free tokens on first use. One token equals one character, so 5,000 tokens translates roughly 3–4 typical messages per day for a month.

When you run out, you can purchase a token pack directly inside Discord — no external accounts needed.
