Purchasing
PersonalTranslator offers two ways to pay for translations: token packs (one-time purchases) and the Personal API Plan (monthly subscription). All purchases are made directly inside Discord — no external website or payment method is needed.
Token packs
Token packs are one-time purchases. Tokens never expire and roll over indefinitely.

How to purchase a token pack
- Use the
/statuscommand in Discord. - You will see a menu with your current balance and available packs.
- Select the pack you want — you will be directed to Discord's built-in store.
- Complete the purchase through Discord.
- Your tokens are added to your balance instantly.
Personal API Plan — $2.99/month
The Personal API Plan lets you connect your own Google Translate or DeepL API key. When active, the token system is bypassed entirely — translations are unlimited and billed directly to your own API account.
This plan is ideal if:
- You translate large volumes of text regularly
- You already have a Google Cloud or DeepL account
- You want unlimited translations without managing token top-ups
How it works
- Subscribe to the Personal API Plan in Discord's store (use
/statusto find it). - Run
/set-api-key setin Discord and enter your API key when prompted. - The bot automatically detects whether you are using Google Translate or DeepL.
- All translations will now use your key — no tokens deducted.
Your key is stored encrypted and is never visible to anyone, including us.

If the subscription lapses
If your subscription is cancelled or not renewed, your token balance resumes automatically. Your saved API key is retained — if you resubscribe, it will be used again without needing to re-enter it.
Pricing and fees
Prices are set in the Discord store. Discord applies a platform fee on all app purchases, which is factored into the listed price.
Refunds
Purchases are handled entirely by Discord. For refund requests, please contact Discord support directly.
