Supported Languages

PersonalTranslator supports a wide range of languages. Use the autocomplete in Discord to search — just start typing the language name.

Major Languages

European Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian

Asian Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese

Using Autocomplete

When you type /set-language language: or /translate language:, Discord shows an autocomplete dropdown. Start typing the language name in English (e.g. "Span" for Spanish, "Port" for Portuguese) and select from the list.

Discord Locale Fallback

If you haven't set a language with /my-language, the context menu will fall back to your Discord display language. For example, if your Discord is set to French, right-clicking a message will translate it into French automatically.

You can override this at any time by running /my-language.

Language Prediction

The bot remembers which language you use in each channel. If you frequently translate to Spanish in a particular server channel, it will predict Spanish next time — so you don't have to specify a language every time.
